Having a reduced (or positive) impact on the environment is achieved by many different means, but for most of these products it means they are either made from recycled or earth-friendly materials or their use will have a positive impact on the environment (such as reusable items, items that encourage recycling, or encourage new plant growth).
Environmental impact of a product is a hard thing to measure and includes things like the amount of shipping (where the item is made and printed vs where it is shipping to) and the correct fit to the intended audience (if 90% of people throw it away before using it, it is not very environmentally friendly).
